Bugger! I have deleted a really important email, and I have emptied the Deleted Items folder! Can I get my email back?
If your messaging environment is Outlook / Exchange, and your Messaging
specialist has configured the deleted item retention feature of Exchange, then
YES!! You can recover deleted emails – even when you have deleted them from the
Deleted Items folder!
METHOD:
Open up Outlook and highlight the Deleted Items folder. Click on Tools >>>
Recover Deleted Items. You should now see a list of all the emails that you have
deleted in the last 7 days (if the default setting was used). Highlight the
email(s) you want to recover, and click on the ‘Recover Selected Items’ button.
Hey presto! The email has now been restored to the Deleted Items folder. You can
drag and drop it to whatever folder you like from there.
