Welcome to the World - Elizabeth Helen Rowston
I would like to proudly announce the latest
addition to the Rowston
clan. The drama started unfolding on Wednesday night at about 9:30pm
and ended almost 47 hours later at about 8:30pm on Friday
It was the...
Most frightening
Most exciting
Most amazing
Most emotional
Most strenuous
Most helpless
I have ever felt and I probably will ever feel. Of course I can't
explain Deb's side of the story she will have to tell you herself and I will
fill in the gaps where she was out of it. In short Deb was in labour for a
bloody long time, had next to no sleep, lost about 2.2 litres of blood and
needed a blood transfusion. The human body only has 5 litres of blood
in the first place so you can imagine things got very scary for a few hours.
Elizabeth was fine the whole time just waiting until Mum stabilised.
To be quite honest I'm glad it's over and has proven a great advertisement
for not having a home birth. The Joondalup hospital staff were
amazing. But for the full details....well you will have to chat to us to get
the full story at some stage. In summary Deb and I are very proud parents
and ecstatic about this beautiful baby girl. A true miracle!
